Sixteen Rivers Press is a shared-work, nonprofit poetry collective dedicated to providing an alternative publishing avenue for Northern California poets. Since 2001, we have produced thirty-eight outstanding books of poetry, sharing our commitment to excellence with the poetry world.
Annual Call for Submissions for Book-Length Poetry Manuscripts
We invite authors to submit book-length poetry manuscripts between November 1, 2018 and February 1, 2019. All manuscripts will be read blind, and typically one or two manuscripts selected for publication. It is possible no manuscript will be chosen in any given year. The winner/s will be announced at the Press’s website in early summer, 2018. Selected manuscripts will be scheduled for publication in Spring 2021.
Please note: Authors must live in Northern California and become members of the collective with a three-year commitment, devoting an average of eight hours per month. Authors have the final decision on the design and contents of their book. All profits from sales go toward publication of the next year’s books. Authors’ books will be published during the second year of their commitment.
